For the 4th of July we usually just stay in town and go to the festivities here in Kanab. They have a good parade with hundreds of people watching and then go to Jay's sister's house for a barbecue and fireworks. It is always fun. This year Kim an her family was here in Utah for a visit. We haven't seen them since last July when we went to Lake Powell on the house boat. Kim and her family were going to be at Brian Head and so we decided to get out of the heat and spend a few days with my family at the cabin. We had soooo much fun. I love being with my family and we always have so much fun together.

My wonderful awesome family. Everyone was there except Jeff's wife and her two daughters and Steve's (Wendy's husband) 3 kids. It was great having everyone there. It probably won't happen again for a while.

We went down to town and parked a few of our trucks to save us a good spot for the fireworks. There were thousands of people there. We walked down to the general store and got some hot chocolate. Who ever heard of hot chocolate on the fourth of July? US!! By the time the fireworks were over, the temperature in our truck said it was 46 degrees outside. BRRRR!

Here are a few of the grandkids that are 3 and under. There is one missing.

We had fun just sitting and enjoying each other's company and also playing cards.

The girls. Some of them, anyway. My family is full of girls and not so many boys.

We had some good food, especiallly yummy watermelon

We played some volleyball and badmitton.

My mom, me and 3 of my sisters

The guys kept busy the first day building a new little sleeping quarters cabin
My dad always needs a project.
Until next time..........
